Tomorrow we`re going to see the Brazilian side of the falls still, staying here for 2 nights before continuing to Puerto Iguacu in Argentina. This is a bit of a strange town, it feels a little American but with a twist. Paraguay seems to have a completely different culture which is obvious as soon as you pass through immigration. We may go back there tomorrow evening after viewing the falls. If you`re after any cheap electronics, think fast! The economy there is pretty poor...
Another very quick update, I`ll try and add more when I can, it`s expensive here! So around 14:00 when we were settled into our pousada we wondered what to do... Out came ´´Ooh why don`t we pop into Paraguay?´´. It´s only 7km away from here and a 3 real bus journey away but it could be another world apart; Ciudade del estate is really crazy, stalls and vendors everywhere, rubbish, poverty, much crazier driving than here. Apparently it´s hugely popular with Brazilians for cheap electronics, as we soon discovered browsing. Anna bought an canon SLR camera for half the price of those in Britain which came with a lens, battery, memory card. We also went supermarket shopping and found things to be very cheap. All round the streets were children selling counterfeit pringles, homemade toys/cakes and counterfeit clothes, sunglasses, pirate DVDs and CDs. Turns out again I have been deceived by the rate of the Brazilian real and have underspent, 400 reals sounds a lot but is 150 pounds, a little better than that scary figure.
