Hello from the Gold Coast. This is Liz here writing our first entry in our first ever travel blog.
We hope that this will turn out to be a good way to stay in touch with you while we are on the move.
Our new small Dell laptop is going with us so we hope to find wireless internet connections or if not we will use internet cafes and try to be diligent in keeping this blog updated. Only time will tell.
I have taken a few photos to show where we are before setting off on our adventure and on seeing them you may understand why we sometimes find ourselves wondering why we  would leave this beautiful spot. I suppose it is called wanderlust and we are both very excited at the prospect of setting off soon.
We have had a great time here on the Gold Coast catching up with friends and the 4 months has passed so quickly. We enjoyed being with good friends over Christmas and New Year.
Now our thoughts are turning to packing for the trip, organising, cleaning and packing up the caravan and generally preparing to be away from our 'home' for 6 months.
