Where I stayed
Renee and Scott's Unit
06/09/2013: Walked to North Sydney and started the time consuming process of getting everything re registered. Another lovely meal cooked by Gary.
07/09/2013: Renee invited us to meet her for drinks at her work - Diageo at Milsons Point. The bar looked over the city and the harbour bridge and was a spectacular sight plus free drinks!!!
08/09/2013: Election day, we walked with Renee and Scott into Town Hall and had lunch at Darling Harbour
09/09/2013: Renee and Scott drove us to the Central Coast and we started the arduous task of sorting through our stuff. Annette Tancrett drove past and saw us so made a quick reverse and gave us wonderful welcome home hugs and kisses. She was having some of the gang around for drinks in the afternoon so we decided to call in and surprise them. It was so good, tears, hugs and kisses and some very welcomed champagne.
We then drove over to Kath and Rob's where we had a lovely night catching up with them, including Jacqueline and Marc. Lots of stories and laughter.
10/09/2013: Lunch with Matt today at Terrigal Haven, was lovely to see him. Missed him so much and I think he really missed us.
11/09/2013:Left Kath's and headed for Mike's place at Nabiac to pick up Christine- the caravan. We had a good 3 days with Mike and Patrick. I helped with packing the eggs while Gary worked on the van, no lights and no brakes. He managed to get the lights working after a long, frustrating time but the brakes were another story. Luckily the mechanic passed Christine for rego as long as we promised to get the brakes done asap.
14/09/2013: We towed Christine back to the coast and she is now sitting in the Blue Lagoon Caravan Park. It was also my 59th birthday and what a beautiful place to spend it even if I was errecting our home for the next two months.
So here we are in this magic setting, not a bad way to complete our great adventure or maybe it is just continuing.
