definitely recommend Savannah or Charlestown if travelling in the USA.
Left Poughkeepsie on the 27 Dec, heavy snow but by the time we reached NY it was clear but still increadibly cold. Got stuck in our first traffic jam, took 2 hours to drive 12 klms. We ended staying in a town called Jessup near Baltimore overnight and following day drove 800 klms to Savannah. What an increadibly beautiful town. It sit alongside the Savannah river and has a river walk with shops and restaurants for about 10 blocks. The streets are dotted with so many beautiful parks, mammoth oak trees dripping with Spanish moss, they can look really creepy but also very majestic as they line the streets. There are georogus mansions, beautiful squares, colonial public buildings and impressive cathedrals and churches. We just walked around for hours marvelling at the beauty and splendour of it all. Christmas decorations still on display which only added to the whole scene. Would
