Left Canada this am, sad, had such a good time and loved the scenery. Weather not on our side though, earthquake in BC. I think we got out just in time as big snow falls as well. We headed south back into USA. Officials at the boarder were not too happy with us, stating we were using the system to prolong our time in USA. This was news to us, blessed ignorance! ! Some of the folks here are very insular, he could not comprehend what we were doing, we tried to explain our trip but I think it was just too much so he gave up and stamped our passports. We now have intill the 28/Jan, then have to get out of USA so will prob go down Mexico way. Drove to Glacier NP but road closed so had to skirt around it, more mountain passes and snow covered mountains. We then drove across the plains of Montana, indian country. Finally saw buffalo and huge flocks of geese flying south. Stopped in the Blackfeet indian reserve of Browning, very typical indigenous community, poor and run down. Called into gas station and I was the only white person. I could imagine these people in their traditional dress out on the plains. We stopped a town called Shelby, the wild west. Its Sunday and place like a ghost town. The guy on the desk at motel a real character, he and Gary swaping jokes. We are heading for Yellowstone NP so we are safe from all the bad weather. News full of earthquake n the north west and hurricane in the east.

hahahaha yep sounds like when I was in USA and American-influenced areas of Mexico - they just can't understand it and also can't understand how we could afford it. Anna and I would say "Um, we saved??" deeerrr
