Well after a long train ride, we're here in Bangkok, again. We went out to a resturant called Cabbages and Condoms last night where you get all your food stuffed into condoms. Only kidding, its a place owned by a nice chap who takes some of the profit from the resturant and puts it to good use by creating more aids awareness and giving money to such charities. The setting was gorgeous, it's all set outside, beneath trees and in an open plan seating area upstairs where we sat. Literally everything is lit up with white fairly lights and looks so pretty if not a bit dazzling. The food was average but we had very attentive, posh waitering service (i.e don't for f**ks sake try and pour your own wine or you'll get a hundred worried waiters rushing up to you and grabbing the bottle out your hand!) after paying you get a plate of Durex!

Afterwards we went to a lively pub which on entering was playing 'Agadoo' and felt very much like a Thai's work night out! We sat at the bar watching some incredible pool playing and generally people-watching. One Thai chap in his 40's with long floppy basin-cut hair and wearing glasses was dancing 'dad style' to everything, totally full of beans, laughing and generally making mine and Rich's evening.

So off we go in 2 hours to get on a train to Chang Mai in the north of Thailand, where Rich and I intend to do some treks, wash some elephants, and lose a few of the pounds we've put on since our long vacation in Asia. I think I've said that before, but now I can't fit in my combats I have no choice, it's salad, salad, salad for me from now on.
