Dinner was at The Waterfront Bistro - we highly recommend it. Great selection of vegetarian and fish as well as a wonderful wine list. The night ferry took us into Red Hook so we taxied back to The Crystal Palace and slept like the dead!!
We spent the day at Cinnamon Bay in St. John. The trip was a short ferry ride from St. Thomas to the busy stop of Cruz Bay. We wandered about and ate lunch in Mongoose Junction, a beautiful example of caribbean architecture that has shopping and dining. While we were there we asked the best way to get to Cinnamon Bay and were told we should "thumb it", so we did! And, thank goodness because it is quite a hike through the hills of St. John to this quiet beach...anyway, we just enjoyed that time at the beach. We thought about staying on St. John but it was full up. Next trip we definitely want to stay in one of the campgrounds. Oh, donkeys are wild animals there BTW and will eat your gear.
