After a 21 hour bus ride i met a guy who needed to drive to Salvador for his grandfathers funeral (people are buried within 24 hours in Brazil). he needed some company on the road so i joined him, great guy but what a ride. 12 hours on some bad bumpy and dangerous roads. i kept awake until the last 2 hours wjere i couldnt keep my eyes open any longer....
So teresina was just a swap from bus to car.... see next entry for more on this drive.
