Our final stop in Chile was the beautifuly quaint San Pedro de Atamaca.  Having hiked up and down its streets trying to find the hostel we had been reccomended (turned out we walked past it 3 times) very hungry we ate the most delicious cheese, tomato and basil empanada ever (no plastic cheese in this one)!!  We then set off to book some stargazing - tick and a three day tour in a 4x4 that would take us over to Uyuni in Bolivia - tick!  With a little time to spare before our stragazing we set off in search of another warm layer for me - what turned out to be the most rediculously orange alpacca hoodie you can imagine!!  We then plied ourself with a strudel thing - apparantly a speciallity of san pedro and legged it to star gazing only to find to our great dissapointment that it was cancelled!  So then it was time for supper then bed ready for our early start the following morning!
