We were both looking forward to getting to Sydney as we had heard so much about it from the people we travelled with in China who lived there, and of course we were looking forward to seeing them again! When we arrived however our first objective was to find warmer clothes as I was about to go into stasis! Once this had been achieved we could really get started and we had a jampacked few days!
We went to the aquarium and found nemo, a large croc and some even larger stingrays and sharks, we met up with Rene (a local - one of the ones we were in China with!) and she took us on the ferry to Manly where we dined and were introduced to Max Brenner (a chocolate restaurant - soooo good), we went to the rocks (where the first British settlement was) and enjoyed wondering through the markets, we tried to walk from Bondi to Bronte and ended up doing it the other way round as we got lost, we ate much cheap but very good ice cream using tokens courtesy of Rene, we celebrated 6 months of travelling with Rene in a delicious pizza place, we saw a red bull flutag (people make human propelled planes and jump of a platform into the sea), we walked the length and breath of Sydney more times than i care to remember, we met up with Rene and Amy (another China bod) for chinese, I went and spent a very enjoyable afternoon with Ruth (Edwards aunt who lives in Sydney), I met up with an old school friend, Nic (who is also currently living in Sydney) and i think we slept sometimes too!
Exausted we packed up and said a bleary eyed (it was very early) goodbye to Australia....New Zealand here we come.....
