Hello everyone!!
Thank you to everyone for your lovely birthday messages, cards and gifts xxxx
Wow what a birthday !!! The celebrations started Thursday after work (as Friday was a bank holiday) all the way through to... well probably for the rest of this week!!
As Friday was Anzac day....
Anzac Day is commemorated by Australia and New Zealand on 25 April every year to honour members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZACs) who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I. Anzac Day is also celebrated in the Cook Islands, Niue, Samoa and Tonga...
we all finished up work on the Thursday and met in the city for a few drinks. We went to a few bars, stole a cocktail list with the intention of heading home to mix up some drinks and relax a bit.. instead me, Sharon and Carly ended up getting changed and heading out into Subi for the night! We danced for hours, ate some chicken and then finally headed home to bed after munching a kebab!
Early hours of Friday morning, Hannah woke up choking and literally couldn't breath. She's been suffering with a really bad cold for almost three weeks now and it seemed to be getting progressively worse. Everyone bolted out of bed and rang an ambulance and Hannah was carted off to A&E with Carly. Thankfully she started to breath normally again quite quickly but was obviously very shaken up. Apparently the hospital staff weren't very helpful, they didn't put her on a ventilator or even help her out of the ambulance. She was then left for ages before anyone came to see her. One of the doctors even advised her to take some puffs on someone's asthma pump!! Hannah doesn't even have asthma! Seems the hospital treatment over here is even worse than home!
We were meant to go on a picnic on the Friday day time but after a heavy night the night before and poor Hannah's attack, we decided to have a relaxed day and spent most of it in front of the TV. Although we did give the house a good clean up.
Saturday morning we all got up at a decent time and headed over to Innaloo to the shopping centre so we could get some outfits for my birthday night out. We had decided on a Fame/80's theme and had been told that this shopping centre had the biggest Supre (Australia's version of New Look) in Perth
It was so much fun getting ready with the girls, it took about 4 hours but was worth it!! We were busy cutting up clothes so they look more funky, adding rips and badges, piling on the make up and adding false eyelashes!
I came down from the shower to find the lounge converted into a birthday sanctuary with balloons, birthday banners, a bowl of chupa chups and a large glass of wine.. oh and all the girls singing happy birthday!! Ahh bless them xxxx
When we were all finally ready we headed into Northbridge (the party town) for some serious birthday boogying!! Needless to say we attracted a lot of attention.. mainly from girls to be honest!! A few people even asked us if we were actually in fancy dress...!! Errr no, we always go out like this! The first bar we went into (Elephant & Wheelbarrow) had a live band so we danced for a bit and then headed onto Paramount
After a full night of dancing, drinking and messing about we left Paramount and was waiting for a taxi when a couple of Aboriginal's (oh ok, not very politically correct.. Indigenous peoples) came over to us. We were all actually pretty scared of them!! they were old, drunk and grunted instead of speaking! They took particular interest in Aimee's glowing necklace and bracelet so I took off mine and handed it to them in hope of them going away.. they didn't. Thankfully some Irish guys had also stopped to chat to us, they could see that we were all wary of them so they started to talk to them and we all legged it!!!
Thankfully we didn't have to wait too long for a taxi and finally headed back home and spent the next few hours peeling off florescent clothes and endless amounts of makeup. We did however get to watch Anchorman.. a birthday wouldn't quite be complete without a dose of Ron Burgundy.
On Monday.. my real birthday! I had to work L It's the first time EVER I have worked on my birthday.. if I wasn't so broke I would of booked it off.. but I have to pay for my 2nd year visa so off to work I went.
It actually wasn't a bad day to be honest, I came to work to find a load of emails wishing me a happy birthday and the girls at work had arranged a morning tea for me with muffins and scones with fresh cream and jam..
I then spent most of the afternoon replying to birthday messages on facebook!! It was a productive day to say the least!!
When I got home, Aimee had arranged my birthday box from Bev & Dad on the table and put all my cards around it and my presents from her. Plus all the balloon's were still stuck on the walls and the party banners!! A little party.. all for me!!
Thank you soooo much for my box Bev, Dad, Ian, Teresa & Joe.. it was full of prawn cocktails crisps, salt & vinegar chip sticks, galaxy ripple, celebrations, jelly totts, tooti fruitties and all the yummy srummy things I love that you cant get anywhere over here.. not even in the English sweet shops!!! Mmmmmm!!! I shall look forward to munching those. I shall have to hide them away from the girlies though, Katie has already told Aimee off for trying to steal a packet of jelly totts!!! HANDS OF PARREN!!!
Aimee was really naughty and splashed out on the MAC blusher I had put on reserve and a new lipglass..
Katie then brought me down a little bag full of goodies and a lovely card with two old grannies on it, headed Katie and Keli!! Seen as we're the oldest in the house, I guess the picture is rather fitting.
Sharon, Carly & Hannah came back from work and snuck into the kitchen and came back out with a bunch of flowers, a chocolate mud cake with candles on it and a "Happy 25th Birthday" specially made chocolate bar.. awwww bless them. They all made a big fuss and we all put on the birthday hats, masks and streamers that was in my birthday box from Bev and dad !!!
Katie made me and her a Margarita and we all sat chatting and laughing at the new Big Brother contestants.. well, I joined them every so often in between all my phone calls!! My phone was like a hotline, I should of changed my number to one of those premium rate one's, I could of raked in the cash!
Anyway, my 25th birthday rocked.. a HUGE thank you to the girls for making such a fuss over me and making it special and thank you to everyone for all the cards, texts, phone calls and messages. I love you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
HOWEVER..
You know me.. I never like to have a birthDAY it has to be a birthWEEK!!!
At least I have saved you guys back home a bit of money... I'm not dragging you off to London, or making you buy fancy dress outfits or anything else that I have made you do for my birthday over the years!!!! Although, I'll make up for it next year I'm sure!!
So that's me and where I am at for now. I hope all is well at home xxxx
I am still waiting to hear if my 2nd year visa has gone through, if it does then I will be staying here until September and then flying off to Asia for three months and finally flying home on 1st December, landing at Heathrow on 2nd December
Will keep you posted.
All my love
Keli xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

My family just seems to get bigger and bigger as the days go by!!! hahahaha xxx Wouldn't change it for the world!! Love you all xxxx

25.. down hill from now!
. Turns out it didn't even have a Supre. We did however find loads of accessories, including bright jewellery and glow in the dark make up, florescent nail varnish and glow sticks!!! We then headed back to the city to grab a few last bits and Katie and Carly made a new friend. Introducing Crumpy. Crumpy was $5 from an op-shop (charity shop) in Perth. He is now used as a cushion.. but he got into the theme and also dressed up for my birthday!!It was so much fun getting ready with the girls, it took about 4 hours but was worth it!! We were busy cutting up clothes so they look more funky, adding rips and badges, piling on the make up and adding false eyelashes!

Aimee
. The queue was lonnnnnnng and the miserable bouncers wouldn't let us cut in so a few of the girls ran and got pizzas to munch on whilst we waited. Paramount has two floors, upstairs is funky house and downstairs had a live band earlier on in the night and then old skool / RnB a bit later on. We headed straight upstairs and raved out for a few hours with our glow sticks!!! The DJ even put on a dance version of Fame for us!!!After a full night of dancing, drinking and messing about we left Paramount and was waiting for a taxi when a couple of Aboriginal's (oh ok, not very politically correct.. . mmmmm. I even got a box of chocolates off one of the girls I work with, bless her!I then spent most of the afternoon replying to birthday messages on facebook!! It was a productive day to say the least!!

Aimee & Sharon
. Considering we are both on the verge of bankruptcy, MAC is probably the last thing either of us should be spending money on. Greatly appreciated though and worn with pride today to show all just how lovely my cheek bones and lips really are! Hahahahaha!!Katie then brought me down a little bag full of goodies and a lovely card with two old grannies on it, headed Katie and Keli!! HOWEVER..
Aimee's long lashes
. the birthday doesn't stop there. I might be meeting up with a friend from Malia who I haven't seen for 4 years Tuesday night, then Wednesday night I think all us girlies are heading out for a Ruby Murry (curry), then Thursday I am meeting with another mate I know from Malia for dinner and then Friday all us girls are going to a charity comedy/dance/talent show thing for the evening!!You know me.. I never like to have a birthDAY it has to be a birthWEEK!!!
At least I have saved you guys back home a bit of money... I'm not dragging you off to London, or making you buy fancy dress outfits or anything else that I have made you do for my birthday over the years!!!! Although, I'll make up for it next year I'm sure!!

. If it doesn't get approved, I will probably have to go to Asia asap for the next few months and then fly home... so still no idea when I will actually arrive back in Sunny St Neots. Will keep you posted.
