Hey peoples
These last few weeks Vicky and her boyfriend Gerry have been staying with us. It's been a squeeze but we've had fun. We went to the cinema on Tuesday night together, hit the markets last weekend where I got Vicky a lovely necklace for her birthday and then hit the town on Saturday night where we sipped champagne and danced the night away!! Sunday I cooked Vicky her first roast in Australia.. Went down a treat!! And Wednesday night Vicky cooked a lovely mexican meal, we all sat on the balcony chatting away and then decided to put black on our faces and make ourselves into cats to celebrate Halloween!! The Aussie's don't celebrate it so we tried to make a small effort! Then it was time to go to bed.. Next thing I know the girls run into my room screaming.. There's a lizard in the lounge!! So me and Gerry are up on a chair trying to catch the poor thing
So it's been emotional to have them stay and we will miss them loads. Not goodbye forever though, I'm already planning a trip over to Dublin to see them when I get home!
Stef and I interviewed a couple of people the other night to rent out my room, as I will be leaving Brisbane and we need someone to pay half the rent. We now have a new roomie called Dermott from Ireland. More bloody Irish! There's more Irish in Australia than in Ireland I swear! Anyway, he's a manager (don't you know, I bet he doesn't have a carafe though) in a sales office across the road. He got back to Brisbane Thursday and desperately needs somewhere to stay. He slept on the floor of the office Thursday night and Friday night! He moves in tonight. So goodbye room, space and freedom... hello double bed with Stef! I can just see the arguments now! Anyway, Dermott is paying $275 a week for my room and Stef and I are paying $140 each to share her room. Sweet. Make's it easier to save. Causes a few other problems though that I wont bore you all with
Also, Stef and I are off to see The Killers live in Boondall next Friday (09 November)! Woo hoo!! I'm so excited. Only cost $80 each as well.. Bargain! I got them off ebay, check out the reason why this dude is selling them.. Made me giggle!! "2x killers tickets Brisbane November 9 . Reserved seating these tickets were bought for my now ex-girlfriend who turned out to be a lying cow who no longer deserves them.these tickets ar in sect 12arow zz seats 161 & 162" hahaha!!
David (Elmo) has now booked his flights and lands in Brisbane on 25th November so we're going to head to Sydney for Christmas and New Years and then I will probably stay there and wait for Aimee... That's right people, my little sister Aimee is coming out. She has family over here that she wants to visit before starting university next year so she's coming over to see them and then head home with me. Looks like it might be the end of January, depends on pennies. I have no idea where we are going or what we are doing yet, the plans keep changing due to timing, weather conditions, price of flights/transport etc etc. So who knows what's going to happen. I think we might hire a car and drive over to Ayres Rock and then up to Darwin and then down the East Coast again. I would like to pop back to Cairns to see the guys from the Woolshed one last time and the weather was pants when I did the islands and everything so it will be nice to do it again
I also tried to change my flights Thursday, only to be told they have no seats available for me and I have to keep trying until one comes up. If it doesn't, then I have to pay for a new flight all together. So looks like I will live in Thailand for the rest of my life. I plan to fly to Singapore 25th March and then fly back home around the end of April. So, no reasons for you lot not to buy me birthday presents... I will be home!!
Work is going really well, they are keeping me very busy and are all lovely people. They have asked me to apply for the full time job and they will give me sponsorship, I don't have the heart to tell them I don't want to stay. It's Melbourne Cup on Tuesday 6th November which is like Ascot. The office have booked out the Minister's conference room which is huge, we've got a massive screen to watch the races on and loads of scrummy food! The Director has got us loads of champagne and we have the whole day of sitting in front of the TV, betting on the races in a sweepstake, drinking and eating!! And I get paid for it!!! Sweet! Also, we all have to wear hats. Not posh ones, it can be anything you like, it just has to be a hat. So I am off to the charity shops this weekend in search of an interesting hat!
Anyway, the pics are of Vicky's last night out on the town, Halloween cat impressions and the frightening lizard that invaded the lounge!!!
Hope you are all well, have a lovely weekend.
Love you all loads and loads

Lizard with no tail
. To make it worse the gecko freaked out and dropped its tail, so there's now blood all over the wall. I gave up and went to bed in the end. It took them a further 20 minutes to catch the poor thing and set it free on the balcony. Girls will be girls! Haha!So it's been emotional to have them stay and we will miss them loads. Christmas in Sydney
Hi
Fran's daughter Jenifer Quinn will be in Sydney for Christmas and New Year too; Fran thought it would be nice for you pair to meet up, apparently Jenny is on facebook if you want to contact her. She went via America to Australia and met Will Smith as you do.
Sounds like your having a brilliant time.
Take care
Bec
