Ok kids so I finally moved into my apartment last night.. let's just say I feel like I've just won the lottery!  After spending nearly 5 whole months in hostels and then 5 weeks practically sharing a bed with Stef in Charlotte's lounge... this place feels like heaven.

I finally have my own room and my own space.  I can shut the door and close myself away from the world for the first time since leaving home.  I can't wait!  That's one of the main things I have found really hard since being away, not having time alone.  I like to spend time alone, whether it is sitting in my room watching tv/reading or taking myself shopping for the day.  It's been hard getting used to being with people 24/7 and even harder when your living in someone's pocket.  Stef and I are looking forward to finally having some time apart, our relationship is becoming strained as we're stressing about money, rent, jobs etc etc Kitchen

.  I'm sure all will fall into place soon though, it's just really hard setting up a new life in a foreign city/world!

So anyway, take a look at the pics I have posted of the apartment block, spa, gym, bbq area, cinema, pool & spa.  I didn't actually take these myself, I stole them off a website!  I have however taken some of the inside of the apartment on my phone but forgot the lead to download them, so you'll have to wait for those.

You can get an idea of what the complex is like by going on: http://emporium.com.au/

I hope to get a waitressing job or a bar job at one of the surrounding restaurants or maybe even behind the bar in the hotel.. we'll see.

So anyway, I finished work last night at 4pm, Katie met me outside work and we jumped in a cab to the apartment.  Once there, I signed my life away, grabbed the keys and then legged it up to the apartment.  Katie's jaw dropped as I showed her around and I just beamed like the Cheshire cat!  Charlotte drove round with mine and Stef's case's after she had finished work, so after throwing that in the rooms, I showed the girls around the complex Kitchen

.  Paul (my boss from the Woolshed) turned up just after 6 to an apartment full of excited girls and a whole load of clothes!!!

Charlotte took us to Woolworths (which is the Aussie's version of Tesco's) to get some food and essentials... $200 later we arrived back at the apartment shattered!!  I spent about an hour finding homes for everything!  The kitchen has so much storage!  I really didn't know where to keep everything and still keep moving it!  I'm sure it will all find it's own space in the end.

Stef got home about 9 ish.  Paul and Katie headed off to go and get some wine and I started to unpack.  Paul cooked us all a lovely meal consisting of chicken with sun dried tomato pesto fettuccini with pine nuts and avocado... mmmmm!   We all sat round the dining room table and enjoyed our first meal in the apartment (this was about 11pm!!)  We then relaxed on the balcony and had a few glasses of wine chatting about everything and anything.  I finally got to bed about 2.30am!  I had to be up at 7am!

It was a lovely evening.  It was great to see Paul, the apartment is amazing, the food was gorgeous and the rose was even better!!  Who can complain?!!!!

I am living and working on Ann Street but there's about a 30-40min walk in-between so I am getting the bus to and from work at the moment.  I think I will always get the bus to work.. two reasons, the first being I am always late and the second being it's so hot in the morning, if I walk to work I will constantly look like an orange on a toothpick Other end of the kitchen!
Other end of the kitchen!
!  My hair will just frizz!   So I have decided that I will walk home and only get the bus if I have to be home early or on the nights that I am working in the evenings (as and when I get a bar job).

Also you can use the pool at what ever time you like so I am hoping to start up swimming again.  It's not massive but it's long enough to get some lengths in.  Need to get fit again, I'm so out of shape at the moment and unfit... it's not good!!

So the plan of action for this evening is to finish work at 4.30pm, get the bus home (it's thundering today and chucking it down.. I don't have a coat or an umbrella!), then swim for a bit and then hit the sauna... can't wait.

Anyway, for those of you that asked for my address again it is:
