So today was my first day of working in a proper job in a shirt and skirt doing the 9-5... it was gay. Soooooo boring... did it really go on for 8 hours?! And no internet access?!?!? aaaaaahhhhhh how the hell am I going to survive this stuuuuuupid job?!
I work for the department of primary industries and fisheries... what is that about?! Apparently it's something to do with agriculture, beef and dairy products. Oh the joys.
My boss is a manager don't you know and therefore doesn't have to talk to me. The old admin lady is set it her ways and likes to tell everyone all the time that they are doing everything wrong.. and then proceeds to do it herself all over again. Then there's the office geek... a bit like Ben really (hahahaha) and then there's Greg, a middle aged temp who loves the sound of his own voice. Oh and how did I forget the Chinese girl who doesn't actually speak any English so she just points and says yar. Oh what a team.
I spent the day reading leaflets on beef, staring at the wall, writing a list of things to do, I wrote nanny a letter and worked out some finances. Very productive, even if I do say so myself.
So yer, that's my job. However, now I have my foot in the government it should open the door to some other possibilities so keep your fingers crossed I don't have to stay in this job for ages!!!!

Not been up to much recently to be honest, just trying not to spend any money. My mate Rich came over for the weekend so we went out walking around Brisbane, went to some markets in South Bank and then checked out the museum for a bit. Been meeting up with loads of people from Cairns as they are traveling down the coast which has been nice. Katie's getting here on Friday so cant wait to see her, looks like the weekend will be full of girly chats and lots of hugs.... trust me, I need a hug!!
Anyway, love you all from the bottom of my heart and miss you all more and more every day.
