So I am in Brisbane (Brisvegas to all those that live here though... I have NO idea why though) and am living with Gemma's friend Charlotte. She has been sooooo good to STef and me and has put us up for nearly a month now bless her. We've spend every day wandering the streets of Brisbane looking for jobs and an apartment... we have only just finally found an apartment. It's amazing and we're soooo happy with it. It's on a complex called Emporium, which has 7 towers of apartments and is surrounded by fancy boutiques, cafes and bars.. which hopefully I will get a Saturday job in for extra cash. It's has loads of water features around and at night it's all light up in red and silver... verrrry posh! The complex offers a swimming pool, spa pool, sauna, gym, huge bbq area and a private cinema screen which you have to pre-book but not pay for!! The apartment it's self has two bedrooms, an en-suite to the master room (which just happens to be mine!) and a massive bathroom next to Stefs room..

. yes a bath at last!!! I can't wait to have a bath!! Then a big lounge with a black L shaped leather sofa and a huge black flat screen tv and a massive balcony to the side. Then there's a dining area with a table and chairs and then the kitchen which is all new with a little dishwasher and a George Foreman grill!!!! It also has a little balcony off the kitchen.. all very posh!! So yer, that's my new apartment!! Stef took a couple of pics whilst walking around so have a look, better one's soon to be added!!We still don't have jobs though, which is a bit annoying as we don't have any money... donations are welcome though!! We've joined an agency and they keep getting us to do stupid jobs like sitting on the side of a road in the boiling hot sun for 3 hours counting cars in a bright orange jacket!!! And then today we worked in a posh suit shop because they had a sale on but no one showed up for it so I stood in the mens changing rooms for 4 hours and Stef looked at boxes of shoes for 4 hours, occasionally moving them around!!! I'm done with temping work, it officially sucks!!!!
We've met up with a whole load of people that we met in Cairns or as we have been traveling and have had a few nights out with them all which has been nice. Bit of bowling, a couple of nights at the cinema, a few free lunches and a few drinks

! Always nice to meet back up with friends!!!So the hunt is on for a job and back to packing again ready for the last move to the apartment. As it is a 6 month lease, I am looking for a job that will sponsor me so I can stay longer than a year. My visa doesn't run out until May next year but if I can get into Child Protection over here then I will get sponsorship, which is for 4 years and then that leads onto residency.... who knows!!
Anyway, really started to miss you guys back at home. I guess it's because I've done some traveling and had fun and now I want to settle, the only thing that's missing is everyone that gets these emails... all those I've left at home :-(
Whose stupid idea was it to do this anyway?!
I love you all loads, will email you all my address when I move in on 8th October so you can all send me letters, pics and some prawn cocktail crisps!!!!
