Well hello there from Singapore

The flight was lonnnnnnnnnng, a whole 13 hours. Thankfully though it was a night flight so we managed to get some sleep in the end. We grabbed our luggage and managed to find our way to the MRT station which is the train line round the whole of Singapore. We then found our way to our stop which was Orchard Road. I can only explain it as simular to Florida, it's really hot and all the shops are verrrrrrrrrrrrry expensive. The likes of Prada etc and there's us bowling up in our Primark! haha! Fitted in a treat! We walked for about 10 mins, stopped for a drink and then headed onto our hotel. The hotel was called Orchard Parade, it's 4 star and they cant do enough for you. I felt like pretty woman but refrained from breathing on the glass reception and putting my leg up in the lift! haha! Once checked in we went off to have a look around and get some dinner. We landed 10.30am English time but as we are 7 hours in front here it was 5.30pm so we had pretty much lost our first day. We found a Hard Rock Cafe so jumped in there and grabbed some dinner and our first Singapore Sling... mmmmmmm! Loving the cherry brandy over here! Afer dinner we headed back to the hotel to get showered and get some sleep. Singapore is so clean it's unreal and the people cant do enough for you. The food and drink is really cheap as well which is good as we're on a tight budget!

Wednesday 02nd May

Our first full day in Sinapore, we got up early and headed over to the MRT station and caught the bus to the nearest station to the Zoo and then managed to catch a bus over. Check me out on local transport! This whole travelling thing is doing me in! haha! the zoo was amazing, Stef and I had our pics taken with monkeys and i held a baby lemur, it was sooooo cute. I've got the pics but cant load them up here.. will do asap! Some of the animals were pretty much free to do what they liked, the monkeys were hanging from the tree's above, it was wicked! Scary as well though, dont want any monkey poo landing on you thats for sure! haha!

After the zoo we got back on the MRT and headed to an island at the bottom of Singapore called Sentosa where we went on the Carlsberg Tower which is 131 metres above sea level. It goes round so you can see the whole of Singapore. We got there as it was getting dark so you could see all the lights turning on. It was amazing to say the least. I recorded it so i will try and post it so you can all see!

We then sampled some local food, i ate crab and everything! It was ok, not as good as Ben & Mass' cooking though! Ok yes, Bev & Mum... also yours is good! haha!

Last night we went over to the Holland area but there had been an accident so it was all shut off so we ended up at this other place in Clarke Quays, Ben you would of loved it, very swanky with it's very own Head Kandi bar!!! Had a bite to eat and some drinks and then headed back to pack at 4am!! We were a bit noisy as well so we had a knock on the door. We got scared though so sat quietly giggling rather than answer it! What wimps!!!

This morning we went over to do some last minute shopping at little India... we were there for a whole 5 mins before jumping in a taxi and driving away as fast as we can. Let's just say we stuck out in the croud! It was good for a laugh though!! It was also thunder storming and chucking it down so we got drenched! The white t shirt was not a good idea!

24 hour shopping over here as well! Get in! Got a really nice top for myself which i am sure you will see in pics to come. My suitcase now weighs 32 instead of the original 24! ooops!!

Anyway, at the airport now, waiting to head off to Melbourne. It's really kicking in now, it's scary! I dont want to see any spiders! I havent seen any here yet though!

Hope all is well at home, miss you all loads, will update and add pics as soon as i can.

Love you all xxxxxxxxxxxx
