We arrived in Acapulco on the overnight bus from Puerto Escondido and after putting our luggage in storage for the day we headed off to see the sights.
Acapulco reminded me very much of St Tropez in France. The bay is full of expensive boats, big and small. Some of them very big!
We walked up to the fort and got a good view of the bay and then we walked around the bay towards La Quereba, where the famous cliff divers jump from everyday at 1.00pm. They also do evening shows, but we only had the day there. It was fantastic, but so scary for me to watch, I was convinced they were going to fall and hits themselves on the cliffs. It really was amazing. It was so hot standing there watching them though, if you ever go, take suncream!
We had another stressful day as we found out early in the day that the digital camera had finally given up. It has been funny for a few months now, but always took pretty good photos, it wouldn't focus properly all the time. Then today it went altogether. We tried to get it fixed and spent more than half of our short day in Acapulco doing this, but it didn't work still. So no more photos for you all I am afraid. We have an old regular camera with us, so we are going to have to use that for now and buy a disposable - but we discovered that the video still works, so maybe I will just post a video of everywhere for you to see!!!!
Does anyone know, if we take videos of places can we get photos out of them later? Or do we need a specific video recorder to do that??
At 2.35pm we got on the bus to Taxco, for what should have been a 4 hour bus ride, more like 5.5hrs!
