San Pedro. Largo Atitlan

On Sunday we decided not to have a lie in, but to get up at 5.45am and catch the bus to Panajachel, which is on the edge of Lake Atitlan. It was a beautiful, if early drive, with lots of hills and twists and turns. Three people in our bus threw up! But it was worth it (¡valia la pena!) becuase the lake was very beautiful, we got a boat across to San Pedro for 25 quetzales (14 to the UK pound). Then we spent the day walking and chilling and looking at the great market with all the different foods for sale. It was really nice to be in this small pueblo, with nothing to do all day, it felt like a real Sunday, for the first time in ages.
We caught the boat back again and then the bus back to Antigua, first day of school tomorrow, so some last minute revision and then bed.
