We got to Antigua and located our family, we were supposed to be in different families, but the school messed up and put us in the same house. The place where we are staying is nice enough, but there are 8 students here in total, so we have twice as many English speakers as family members!!!! Consequently there is not too much Spanish spoken in the house, which is kinda the whole point of a family home stay!

I am suffering from a lack of protein as the cook (yes we really have a cook) seems to think that vegetarian = no need for anything but rice and tortillas. I like rice and tortillas, but they do nothing for the waist line, for that reason I have been running for the first time in nearly 5 months!!!!! We don`t get half as much food as we did at the home stay in Cusco and the whole experience is no where near as good, but we are going to make the most of it anyway. It is just disappointing as we went for the most expensive school thinking we would have a better experience. We have decided to save some money and just do one week instead of 2.

My recommendation is that if you want a great home stay, then stay with Marina in Cuzco, if you write to me I can give you here address and you can arrange it direct (it is cheaper that way!).

You need to speak to Epi
Good grief, what has Epi done to himself! He seems to have aged 10 years and gone native. Bring back the young, fit, well groomed specimen that we all used to letch after.
