The bus trip only took 23 hours in the end!!!! The lucky thing was that the bus was virtually empty, so we were able to spread out and have a double seat to ourselves. The bus drivers in Brazil change as the night goes on, they obviously do their shift and then change at the next bus station with the next driver. Well our last driver joined us at 6.30am and I can only assume that he had either had a bad night or was sexually frustrated or something, cos he drove like a bloody lunatic. We were thrown all over the place, as was our stuff, I actually wore my seat belt this time, not that it would have done much if the mad man had ever made contact with one of the many cars and lorries he chose to swerve past.

We finally got to the hotel at 2pm, starving as we had eaten nothing since 9pm the previous night and even that was not much. We had some lunch and a shower and headed out to see the water falls The first view of the falls on the Brazil side
The first view of the falls on the Brazil side
. The Iguazu Falls are quite amazing as they fall on the border of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. Today we were seeing the Brazilian side, which is supposed to be the best panoramic views and it did not disappoint - it was spectacular.

We also saw some lizards, spiders and Racoon's - oh and a very big ugly bug thing that landed on Epi, but flew off when I screamed at it, much to the amusement of some passers-by!

We spent a few hours at the falls, they were so loud and powerful and huge, I could have stayed there for hours. We got absolutely soaked, but it was really hot so we didn't care!

Got back to the hotel, which is really nice. We are staying at Hotel Panarama, it has pools and mini golf and tennis courts and all sorts. We booked on www.hostelbookers.com and paid a third of the price advertised on the reception. Unfortunately Epi is not well, so he is in bed and I am left to go to the bar alone, life is so hard these days! I actually went without dinner too as I didnīt want to sit among all the holiday makers looking like Billy no mates! So I have eaten the chocolate out of the mini bar and will have to make do until breakfast - my stomach really doesnīt like me much these days!!!!

We hope to go to the Argentine side tomorrow, so we can see what the difference is, but that is only if Epi can make it out of bed.

Wow
Love those falls. Can you do white water rafting there. If you can I think you should - stuff the cost. I am becoming more aware as I read the blog of one subject which keeps popping up - food!!!

Happy eating. Miss you.

Wendy
