Well we arrived at Perth airport and made it on to our first Tiger Airways flight with no dramas.  We had pre-booked an emergency exit seat which made all the difference for John's legs.

We arrived in the Changi "budget terminal" (which means very little facilities but still quite bearable).  We then tested the Singapore "never sleeps" theory - it was all wrong.  At 3am in the morning, Singapore is very asleep.  Even the 24 hour "Mustafa Centre" - 4 levels of 1 department store couldn't occupy us.

We then tried a combination of sleeping on chairs and taking the free shuttle to and from the other terminals to pass 6 hours.  It's now 10.45 and our plane leaves at 12.40pm.  We're almost in Vietnam....catch you then!
