We woke up at 6.30am (courtesy of Natasha's alarm) and went for a walk/run. A slight miscommunication resulted in Natalie being a little late and panicking Natasha who proceeded to search the streets of Blenheim for Natalie and consider calling the police. By 8.00am, both were safe and sound in their room! A country breakfast was next - yum!
At 10, Kerry from Bubbly Grape Tours collected us and we began our wine tour. We started at Cloudy Bay, before proceeding to Allan Scott, Spy Valley, Fromm and Villa Maria. Spy Valley is just up the road from the spy balls - huge white spheres which hide satellite dishes for finding terrorists. Lunch was at Drylands - gorgeous salmon that was tea smoked (yes, Natalie CHOSE to eat fish). After lunch, we found Prenzel where they make world standard gin and vodak (and other yummy liqueurs) and then the Chocolate Factory. At 4.30pm, Kerry dropped us off home and we...........relaxed. We missed dinner (still fill from lunch and wine) and sat in the guest lounge watching NZ tv which seemed to have a lot of Scottish, rather than UK tv......Natasha had a bath and then bedtime.
