We woke about 7.30am and traipsed up a short hill to another Quest complex to use their gym....this gym was huge and even had a pool. A 30min workout ensued before walking back down the hill, reparking the car, checking out and having breakfast. We find a little Italian cafe and smoked salmon.....next we wondered around the sites of Wellington. A quaint place with amazing architecture, cute weatherboard houses, lots of coffee and beer! We walked along the waterfront, stopped in at the Dog and Bone for a half pint, visited Teddy Bears with Attitude and rode up and down on the Cable Car (incredible views). Next we drove to the hire car company and they drove us to the ferry terminal.
We took the Interislander ferry to Picton. 3 hours.....pure luxury compared to all the ferries we have ever been on. We spent an extra $20ea when booking and had the pleasure of the "Club Class" to ourselves. A private room with tea, coffee, tv, newspapers and writing desks
Blenheim is approx 30mins south from Picton....also quaint with lots of autumn coloured trees. The B&B was beautiful, including a guest lounge. We checked in and then walked about 4 mins to dinner at The Cornerstone. Natalie tried the pork belly - a little rich, but tasty; we both decided the NZ viognier was not the same as Aussie and not to our tasting. Next, we went to the Living Room for dessert and coffee - handmade icecream and sorbet (fig & white chocolate, peanut butter, jack daniels)....time for sleeping.

The "Flower Room"
. We found the bar, we took some photos, we wrote some postcards and generally had a ball. At the other end, we collected our luggage off the airport style carousel before plodding off to Blenheim.Blenheim is approx 30mins south from Picton....also quaint with lots of autumn coloured trees.
