We found out about a campsite off highway 60, down Cannaan Road, along a gravel drive for about 10 Km, the drive was very slow, as it is along a cliff, and a couple of days ago a campervan went over the edge, Baz took a picture of the scene, but we took it slowly and ended up in a lovely campsite, very peaceful, so the next day we got up and went for a walk to a setting of the Lord of the Rings Film, Harwoods Hole, it was an amazing walk, through Forest and across rocks, and then you end up at the drop, which is one of the steepest drops in New Zealand, we then climbed up to the lookout point where you climb across rocks again when you reach the top and you then look out across the valley, the view is off this planet, but i was a bit scared of sitting on Rocks hundreds of meters high with a sheer drop and no safety barrier, well you wouldnt have, this was nature and mother earth at her best, was still a bit freaked out though, we stayed up here and had a cup of tea from the flask and chatted away, then walked back down, we stayed on this campsite for 2 nights, a real cool stay!!!
