The povery in Chennai is off the rictor scale!!!! Bodies line the pavements at night, the stench on the streets, the state of the roads, buildings, everywhere you look, there is no relief from it, and it has not got the atmosphere that Kathmandu did, even with the poverty that Kathmandu had.
The way of the people here are hard to get used to, the pushing and pushing in, the barging, the stopping and starring, the shouting and angry faces and words, the no smiles and welcomes.
We have found it very hard to settle or relax here, but even so we payed a taxi driver to take us out around the City to try and make the most of the time here, we did visit Chennai beach for a short while, a church and a gift shop!!!!! They were all the sights the driver could think of to take us too, and on the way we saw more and worst poverty lining the beach and streets.

Decided we'd move on the next day further south.
