Getting into the WoDs with a vengeance now and loving every minute of it! This sport is so much fun I don't feel like I'm exercising (well, maybe when I'm running up and down the stairs).
I learnt so much from Peter at Dresden that I'm amazed I was only there 4 workouts:

Peter discounted the drop-in price to €15 for me. Yoga at the gym was €5. Public transport was €20 for 7 day pass (all trams/buses).
Language: German and English (Peter's English is excellent).

Location: 3 tram + 2 bus stops away from my Couch. Transport is not particularly challenging, expensive or time consuming in Dresden (or the rest of Germany, to my knowledge).

Downside: WoDs at 8pm is a bit late in the evening for this Little Black Duck. I was still awake and full of energy at midnight :/
Upshot: This is a great box. Peter is very encouraging, and takes time to teach technique with patience, expertise and clear demonstration. He's a good guy too! I'm particularly grateful he gave me the freedom to manage my back injury without pushing more weight on me or judging me for not 'going hard' enough. In fact, he did the opposite.

The box and gym facilities are very high standard, with loads of space, great equipment, friendly reception and everything spotlessly clean. The other CrossFitters are very friendly and help each other to work really hard in the WoDs.
The saunas and the yoga classes at the gym are equally impressive.
Pre-visit contact was fast, friendly and helpful.
Highly recommended box.

Couchsurfing: Surfed with Anne, a first-time CS host who showed me excellent hospitality. We had a great time walking (and hitch-hiking) through the snow to see the dog sledding in Nassau and met some other CSers in Neustadt for a drink and a late night gyros.

About Dresden: Again, I'm not much of a tourist these days but I really enjoyed the Hygiene Museum's permanent exhibition, The Human Body. You can play with heaps of cool stuff, and the humans and sexuality section is interesting...

Next Stop: Myleo CrossFit, Berlin!
