Honestly, there is so much to do here you would not believe it. I'm really sad that we are only staying a couple of days rather than longer. I think we;d both like to stay longer but we've really got to get out of Thailand and around some of the other countries before our time is well and truly up!

Today we headed to the Thailand-Burma Railyway museam, which is a really well run museam, it's small but really informative with lots of interesting displays and accounts of what happened. To be fair, we'd read a certian amount at the hellfire pass yesterday but it was so well presented and interesting that I didn;t mind looking at it again. After we'd been to the museam we headed to the Allied war cemetary opposite and had a look around the graves of the British. Some of them were so young. The cemetary was lovely though, really well kept.

Tonight we witnessed one of the most impressive sunsets over the river Kwai, we'd heard that they were quite good here but because it's been quite cloudy we hadn't seen too many, anyway, it was fab and we're really lucky that we have such a nice place to view it from, the Jolly Frog is one of the nicest places we've stayed.

Six weeks of being in Thailand and one thing that we haven't tried is the Thai massage. I've had oil massages before but never a Thai one, Lee's never had a massage at all so we decided to head down the road to find a suitable place to have one done. There's no shortage of shops so we selected a place, sorted the price and booked ourselves in for an hour. Firstly, we had to get out of our trousers and swap them for these baggy fisherman trouser things, which were hilarious. Lee had a bloke masseur (which I think he was secretly dissappointed by) and I had this teeny tiny Thai lady. Now, if you think ooooh lovely a Thai massage (like I did) then you'd be wrong, way wrong. It was like being bullied in the school playground. Pinched, poked, slapped, stood on, pulled... oh my god was it uncomfortable, bordering (at times) on painful. Some times it was quite nice, other times I was hoping that the mean lady would go away and leave me alone. Ouch! Lee enjoyed his but I wasn't that impressed. It was an experience but I think I'll stick to the more relaxing massages next time!
