Daytona Beach was hot! So as you can imagine we all turned pink (spud more like a fluorescent color) and suffered the dreaded sunburn sleep for the next couple of nights! The place was full of spring breakers also, so there was pumping music, specials on buckets of beer everywhere and people generally just partying! We were right at home. There are a million cheap shops along the streets selling bikinis, shorts etc so I finally managed to spend some of that precious stuff and buy a new bikini. Jordan and Cam are both going to need new swim suits also before we spend much time in the ocean as they have both fined down and nearly worn them out.
We managed to watch the highlanders game and I must admit we got a little homesick, the day looked great everyone having great time! The scenery shots were unreal; so I can only imagine what it is like for people who have never been there what they think when they see our beautiful place on TV. The result of the game was also good for me as I have picked the Force as my team this year and managed to win a few bucks off spud (hence the bikini)!
The speedway is a phenomenal place; I just wish there had been some racing on. I am such a petrol head. The parking alone for the place takes up around 6 miles. The people here be it visitors or locals all seem to think they Daytona races so there is a lot of revving of cars, smoking up of tyre wheels and racing off the lights. I could live here!
Now we are off to Orlando which I suppose will be more sedate and family orientated for us (yeeha) and of course the bloody theme parks. Have I ever mentioned my fear of roller coasters, heights and anything that spins!!!!
