Aspen just keeps on getting dumped on. Each time it snows they receive a foot of new snow. Getting into town in snowstorms is a fun experience. The free bus services they offer every 20 minutes from outside our apartment are fantastic and the snow does not seem to affect the bus drivers even when they can not see 2 feet in front of them.
We helped celebrate Erica's 30th birthday and had a couple of great nights out at local restaurants Takah Sushi and Elevation. Bernadette and Doug come over to ski Highlands with us on a massive powder day which was a lot of fun. Unfortunately for me however I have been given the stay off the mountain from the physio here. After a massive day snowboarding my knee swelled up to three times it's normal size and he believes I have been doing too much too soon on it. That doesn't sound like me at all.
AH has started his book (after 4 weeks of traveling) and has become very non communicative when he is in his book zone. One day we waited over an hour to get out the door because he couldn't finish a page or chapter or whatever.
So I am stuck with being domesticated in and around the apartment while not snowboarding, it didn't bode to well for me the other day when I sucked my snowboarding boot laces up the vacuum cleaner and the whole thing started making a funny noise and smoking, have since put that firmly in the back of the cupboard it came from and will get AH to vacuum the day we leave. Should I tell him about the smoking thing? I have also managed to turn my white long sleeved tops into a rather pretty tie die shade of blue, but hey we are on holiday and I am just learning this washing caper thing!
We had a fun night out at Scotty's work L'Hostaria. All his mates arrived in and made him put on a NewYork Giants top and work in that for the rest of the night. That is like making me put on Crusaders Gear and walk around in public in it! The Super Bowl is a big thing here and we are really looking forward to Superbowl Sunday, The NY Giants against The Patriots! We have decided we are Giants fans and are going for the underdogs!
