Leaving Big Sky the weather was absolutely stunning but the temperatures dropped dramatically. Cam managed to get them all on film but missed -25 as she had turned the camera off. Proof it is bloody cold and I am not just whinging!
The night before we left we traveled back down the mountain to a little place for dinner that had been recommended to us. On the way down my AH ran over what he thought was a lump of just happened to be a massive rock that got stuck underneath our car for about 2km. When we got to the restaurant AH was convinced he had ripped a hole in something that holds oil, and oil was apparently spewing out of the tires...Jordan and I could not see this but AH was convinced. It was a very quiet dinner with AH sure he had blown up the car and he would have to go back to Bozeman the next day to fix it. Back up the mountain we head and a quick check for oil after parking on new snow showed no signs. Spud couldn't sleep that night but all was well when he went out in the morning and found no signs of oil anywhere. Not even the tires...He now admits he may have manifested the whole thing in that great mind of his! Off we go again!
On our way to Jackson Hole, we stopped at a grizzly bear and wolf park to give the children a bit of education for the week. Jordan then did an essay on grizzlies for me!
Jackson Hole, Wyoming is not a very child friendly town. I wouldn't really recommend traveling up here with kids. They have very few family friendly restaurants and absolutely no family friendly bars. The skiing was sick though and the town had so much history. Spud has great memories of this place when traveling 25 years ago but that was before wife and children...And he could get loose at the mangy moose!
We did however all get our very cool Jackson Hole hoodies & T's. Not in the budget Lisa!!!!
