Shortly after Andrew and I got married on August 18th, 2007 Andrew left his job in wholesale mortgage lending, which was the perfect time considering the turmoil in the industry. We soon decided that I would leave my job in Macy's Special Events at the end of the year so that we could travel abroad for a couple months. After all, how many opportunities do you get in life to take a little time off to travel and have what could only amount to an extended honeymoon with the one you love.

Deciding where to travel is probably the hardest part of any trip, but when it came time for us to figure out where we would like to go, we turned to a list we had made in November of 2005 called "Oh, the places we'll go..." We had a list of over 49 destinations in the US, Canada, Europe, South and Central America and beyond. Andrew and I agreed that Australia, New Zealand and South America were at the top of our long list and that is where we would go.

After a lot of research and talking to friends we called American Airlines to get a Circle Pacific Pass and with 29,000 miles at our fingertips, we would travel to destinations in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina and Uraguay. We are set to leave on January 15th and return on March 5th. This Blog will hopefully give us a vehicle to talk about our travels and include photos and highlights of ALL THE PLACES WE'LL GO...

Don't Eat The Yellow Snow
A friend of mine once told me not too long ago
when traveling to another land, 'never eat the yellow snow.'
It may look tasty and quench your thirst
and as good an idea as it may seem,
you will most certainly find yourself on top of a porcelin queen.
So if you come across a patch of yellow snow take a picture and let your friends know to 'NEVER EAT THE YELLOW SNOW!'
