The weather´s finally got better, yeh! Just came back from seeing Christo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer). It was still a bit cloudy but at least we could see him, finally! In the morning we took the tram up the cobbled streets of Santa Theresa, a cute residential district up in the hills. It reminded me of Taxco in Mexico.

On Saturday night we headed for a samba club - Rio Scenarium, definitely worth a visit. The live band was great! The club itself is beautiful with three antique-filled floors and balconies overlooking the stage. Wish I´d taken my camera.

I´m not into football but last night we went to watch a football match at the Marcana Football stadium, the largest football stadium in the world. The match was exciting and the crowd were buzzing. The Flamengo fans were waving huge flags and lighting up fireworks. Botafogo won in the end. Need to work out how to upload my pics/video on this computer.

We´re leaving Rio tomorrow for Ilha Grande, it´s meant to be really nice there.
