Ok, so today wasn't all that exciting.

But I did meet people who made it more fun.

I got the oddest wake up call ever. I got woken by the hostel cleaner coming in to clean the room I was 10:30.

But I did get up quite quickly, and did the same for breakfast as I did yesterday. I am to cautious of spending money at all to have the desire to buy 3 meals a I buy the buffet breakfast for 4p, wrap the croissant and the fruit and have it for lunch.

Problem solved!

But sadly, that is the only problem solved today.

I got a Rubik's cube. Yes...I am a decade behind the rest of the first world people. But no, I cannot solve this stupid box thing.

I am doing this purely because I am slowly but surely working my way through Alex Day's lifescout badges. They are a great way of keeping keenly interested in life...even the small things.

Well put it this way...I got the guy at the shop to mix it up, so I could do it without any cheating. I started it at 2, and did it for 4 hours until I needed to get up to go to the bathroom.

It was then that I fell straight back down again, and pretty much fainted due to lack of food. I never did eat lunch..

Well, after I stopped getting stars in my eyes and picked myself off the floor, I got my stuff and headed to the train. I am heading back to Tim & Chris's tonight.

I met a lovely guy there who I got talking to. His name was Alex and he worked for the underground. He was so lovely, and had the most random but awesome customer service I think I have ever seen!

But now I am on a train. Back out of London and on to the next stage of my adventure...which you will hear about on Friday so stay tuned! Ahhh...the suspense :P

Rubik's cubes are WAY more than ten years out of date. Almost retro,'ll be ready when they come back into fashion.

Say more about Alex Day's awards...

John on

I never had the patience for Rubik's cubes.
