All right, hopefully this will get me through my trip. After Point Reyes I drove up the Redwoods National Park. I stayed at a hostel in the park with a view of the ocean. I could hear the waves crashing from my bedroom. It took most of the day to drive there. The next day I got a permit and headed to the tall trees grove. It was amazing! I stopped and walked around a few other places in the park after that but the tall trees was the highlight. It was only about a 3.5 mile hike but it was almost hard to believe how big all the tree were - beautiful. The next day was another driving day, but on my way out of the park I took this windy, bumpy dirt road through the stout grove. I highly recommend everyone who visits the park goes there. But after that I was back on the highway headed for Portland. I stopped at OSU on my way and filled out all my job paperwork. When I got to portland I stayed at a hostel in the Hawthorne District. I had a little bit of time to walk around, then I just talked with people at the hostel before going to bed. I spent the rest of the next day just walking around Portland. I could easily spend a lot more time there. It is such a laid back city, but there is so much to do. The next morning I had time to grab some breakfast and get a much needed oil change before heading off to my new home, Pasco. Since then I've mostly just been hanging out here, getting settled and getting to know the area. Work technically started today, but all I've been doing so  far is reading project protecal, backround lit. on the project, and  dam safety  procedures.  This  week is going to be a pretty gentle work week, but I think things will soon start to get busier. Anyways , that gets me through my trip. Not the most detailed but feel free to call if you want to know more. I got to get moving here.
