saying she NEEDED a white horse for that night. ummm WHAT! Ok kind of
random! well anyways Vigdis calls around finds a white hose and the new
plan of the night is that we have to go catch this white horse ride it
to this spot where this famous man who is getting married has to ride
the horse over to his bride and carry her off (this is before her
bachelorette party= ok weird!
So Vigdis tells me I have to
drive although I no longer have a drivers liscence AND It has been over
a year since I drove! i was shaking frekaing out so nervous!!! And
here dad hands me the keys to his mercedes like now lindsey be careful
with my mercedes I wa sliek WHAT haha what the shit I am driving a
mercedes with an expired drivers liscence and havent driven in over
a year! GREAT!
So we drive to this farm where the groom and his
friend drive up I roll down teh window and the groom goes hey are you
from Australia! i say umm no from Canada! and he was like oh thats
right I met you on thursday night in Akureyri ahha WHAT! ANyways I
have no recollection of that but apparently we talked for a long
time!!! thank GOD I wasn´t wearing the same dress!!!
So we pull
up all get out and are walking through this field to all these horses
and there is this ditch they run through adn I am wearing my going out
party night clothes - hey I am not riding the dfam horse! .. so vigdis
goes just walk through the ditch but it´s a little wet. I was like
ummm how wet! anmd shes liek come on! so I walk in and next thing I
know I am UP TO MY KNEES IN MUD wet mud that looks like SHIT. I almost
DIED and how embarrassing these 2 rich guys going to get there dam white
horse and I am covered in mud/shit!!!! they all laughed I wa sliek OH
MY GOD I HATE YOU YOU BITCH!!! there was absolutly nothing I could do
we were in the middle of the dam field!!! so the one guy is making a
documentary of his friends big day adn here he is laughing calling me a
dirty girl taping me while I am TRYING not to freak out!!! so we
caught the dam horse vigdis rode it to this pot where we all get out
and are waiting and waiting... well this famous gay man comes wioth
wine for us and tells us we have to wiat because the bride is throwing
up!!! she drank too much! GREAT so we wait have some wine on the side
of the road this massive beast is eating everything and I am at LEAST
drying up I just look filthy from the knees down!!! and the famous gay
man who I had mety the last weekend looks at me up and down and I was
mortified like yup I know I KNOW he wa sliek umm your a little dirty I
almost died I wa sliek YES I KNOW THANKS! haha! God!
So the
groom rides triumphantly (and looking good I might add) to his bride
who is sitting on her ass head in between her knees just thrown up with
a line if drool hanging from her mouth!!!! Wow! So anyways needless
to say she did NOT get her romantic horseback ride! they hardly got
her into the dam vehicle! we took the horse back I had to have another
shower! then we ended up goiong to the fortune tellers house where the
brides bachelorette party is going on- and she is sleeping through!!!
So
ok weird I walk in and EVERYONE is weaing these crazy hats with
feathers everywhere and there are the two famous gay men one ina
corsette with his belly hanging out and a denim jacket over with a
tidie speedo with jean shorts over!!! the fortune teller has a stuffed
raven hanging on the walla dn she calls herself a witch she has these
HUIGE pictures of herself in black with the stuffed raven! she also
has mirrors all over the hosue with sayings on them.. YOUR BEAUTIFUL
EVERYONE LOVES YOU YOUR GORGEOUS.. and she was relaly quite nice!
We
left there at 1030 went back to Vigdis´s house had a few drinks and
went out around 1230 we stumbled back home around 6 something one of
her friends came over and I was liek GOOD NIGHT! I met a really hot guy from Denmark in a gay bar!!! I am now invited to go visit him in Copenhagen!!!
Woke up today
GORGEOUS OUT! we went down town back to the flea market then suntanned
for a bit! tonight Vigdis went to work at the Kebab shop (which is
actually a bar! I thought she like made kebabs!!!) ande Raggi and Anna
picked me up
OH I totally forgot I ran into Raggis sister by
ACCIDENT yesterday! we just started talking somehow got on to she was
related to the Vopnfjords and I wa sliek WHAT SO AM I then she goes do
you knwo Lindy I wa sliek YES!!! he´s my cousin adn she goes well he
came here last year for my brothers wedding! I was like NO is your
brother RAGGI! And she was liek yes and I laughed I met raggi 2 years
ago at Lindy´s wedding and had left him a message saying lets get
together sunda! She called her brother and was liek yes you are goiong
to dinner at my mom and dads hyosue tomorrow I wa sliek WHAT! Am I!
ok sounds good haha I had no idea!
So today they picked me up
and we went to his mom and dads and they were WONDERFUL! and the WHOLE
family came all Raggis siblings and all the grand kids! we had an
AMAZING dinner- well some of it was weird! they had raw fish with
sauce and bread and hot dogs with brown sauce and onions then we had
ribs and lamb and alfredo potatoes and corn on the cob and salad and
mushrooms... WOW the food was SO GOOOOODDD and honestly it was just so
ncie to meet everyone!!! they were SO NICE and just like fun like I
was welcomed and I just felt at home and part of the family!!! it was
so great! OH and they gave me a family tree about their family that
has the Vopnfjords in it! SO YES MOM UNLCE CHUCK AND UNCLE STEFAN I
took it for you to look over!!!
So now Iam here at the Kebab shop Vigdis works till one so I am just sitting here having a few beers!
