Where I stayed
Mom is now settled in Delaware Court Nursing Home for some physical therapy before her surgery. My brother Greg came home early from his vacation so he could be there before we left. So all is in good hands and I can enjoy our cruise.
Larry, Derek and I left home about 12:30 and stopped at Manor Care Nursing Center in Westerville to say goodbye to Joe. He is doing so much better, putting on weight and in better shape mentally. We drove to the airport and parked in the Red Lot. We checked our bags and went through security and got to our gate in plenty of time. We got to Atlanta on time and tried to get a seat in the Sam Adams for supper but it was packed. So we went to the Heineken Bar and Grill where we sat in the non-smoking section. Larry and Derek had Newcastle Seasonal beer. Larry and I shared nachos and Derek got a bratwurst with sauerkraut. When we finished we got to the gate just in time to board. We arrived in Miami on time and called Hyatt House for our shuttle. It took a little while but we arrived about 8:30. We couldn't get into the room because Erin had not put any of our names on the reservation. So we went to the breakfast area and watched the Ohio State/Michigan basketball game. They lost again. Erin arrived just as the game was over. She had been following it on her phone. We got settled in our room, visited for a little while, then went to bed.
