I spent the day on the computer and playing my ukelele. I'm getting better at remembering the fingering for the chords which are different from guitar chords. I didn't started feeling better until about 2:00 so I'm glad I didn't go. I fixed a pizza casserole and put it in the refrigerator until they got back.
They got back at 5:45 just as I was preheating the oven for the casserole. They told me about their day
. They all decided to rent all-terrain shoes for $5 as they would get wet going through streams. They were taken to the start of the tour in a military-like vehicle with big tires. They took a walk back through the cow pasture and down to the creek where they got in kayaks. They went upstream and had to portage around a low dam. They went further in the kayaks and then took a hike through the jungle and up a hill to the ziplines. They zipped 420' across a small valley over the swimming hole and picnic area. Then they went across a short suspension bridge and up a hill to the next zipline where they zipped back across the valley. They put all the zipline gear away and walked down the ridge of his down to the stream and followed the stream to the picnic shelter and swimming hole. There were inner tubes and a 10' cliff to dive off next to the waterfall. While they were swimming, the guides put out lunch for them: make your own sandwiches, potato chips and a cookie. After lunch they hiked back to the kayaks and paddled back out to the cow pasture. They picked some thimble berries and ate them. They got back in the vehicle and went back to the start where they changed into dry clothes.
While we waited for supper, Derek cored and cut the pineapple with a gadget that both cored the pineapple and spiral sliced it at the same time. It is delicious, better than any you can get in the stores at home. We ate supper on the lanai. After we cleared the supper dishes, Larry, Derek and I went over the Safeway for milk, juice, sliced turkey aaaaaaaaaaaand BEER!
We watched Doc Martin again and went to bed.
Of all days to wake up with a sick stomach. I didn't feel well when I got up. We went for a late breakfast at Eggbert's. Larry and Derek got omelets, Erin got banana pancakes and I stuck with scrambled eggs and toast. When we got back Larry, Derek and Erin got ready to go to Princeville Ranch for the Jungle Valley Adventure without me as I didn't feel any better. They left about 11:30.
