We got up at 9:00 and had breakfast and got ready for our Catamaran and Snorkel at St. John. About 9:30 they announced that we were behind schedule because of a strong undercurrent and wouldn't get into St. Thomas until 11:00.  So we went up on deck and watched as we pulled into the harbor at St. Thomas.  St. Thomas is surrounded by hills with homes built on them for the views.  We actually got in a little before 11:00 and of course everyone headed to de-board at the same time.  We got off the ship and found our tour.  We got in open air taxies that held 25 people and headed across the island.  The traffic was terrible because of road construction and it took us an hour to get to Sapphire Beach where we boarded the catamaran.  The trip across to Honeymoon Beach/Bay on St. John took about 45 minutes.  After we anchored and got our snorkel gear Erin and I jumped off the side and took off to the reef.  The snorkeling was so-so but Erin saw turtles and a barricuda.  I saw lots of fish and fans and sea urchins, really big black ones.  When I turned around to go back, I couldn't believe how far we had swum.  I started back ahead of Erin.  I stopped at one point because my mask was fogging up.  I took if off and let it hand around my neck for a little bit.  When I went to put it back on, I had lost the snorkel.  At least it was my own snorkel and I didn't have to pay for losing theirs.  I still had the mask but I could swim with my face down anymore which made it more difficult.  It took me forever to get back, I went most of the way on my back.  When I passed the last catamaran before ours, the gal on board asked me if I was okay.  I told her, so far, but to keep an eye on me.  When I got close to our catamaran, the current kept moving it, so Garrin, threw me a lifesaver and helped me get to the back of the boat.  I was so tired that I was shaky but glad to be back.  Getting up the ladder was another chore.  The ladies behind me helped me by carrying my fins up for me.  My concern at that point was Erin, but I saw her close by as soon as I got on board.

Once we were under sail, Sam, the gal on board started serving Rum Punch and Champagne.  I took two sips and waited for the snacks as I had a very empty stomach.  Soon Garrin brought out big platters with huge chunks of cheddar and pepperjack cheese and fruit.  There was also a big basket of bread.  It was all very good.  We had fun sailing back to Sapphire Bay.  We got on the first bus back to Crown Bay where the ship was.  It only took of an hour as the driver took a different route around the construction.  It didn't seem that long as we were talking to two couples from Vancouver, BC all the way back.  When we got back to Crown Bay about 5:00, there was a steel drum band playing.  Then we went to the shops so Erin could find a magnet with the flag of the US Virgin islands.  She didn't find one but I found some turtles for my Wild Wyoming Women and a turtle shirt for me.  Then we went to the Guana Shack where Erin asked the bartender to recommend a rum drink.  He made her a Hubba Bubba which was made with pineapple, coconut, raspberry, vanilla and banana rum with just a little cranberry juice for color and a little sprite.  She had two of them.  I tasted it and it was amazing!  I had a bottle of water.    We got on board shortly after 6:00.

We got showers and headed to the Golden Dining Room.  When we got there the hostess asked us if we would like to share a table with some nice people who would like to make new friends.  We said sure.  So she seated us with a young couple who just got married in September, she was Vietnamese/Chinese ancestry and he was Filipino ancestry.  There was another mother/daughter, Connie and Emily from Mississippi.  It was a long meal as we did a lot of talking.  For appetizers Erin had Canneloni and I had tropical salad.  Our entrees were pork spare ribs and corn on the cob for Erin and chicken curry and rice for me.  For dessert we had carrot cake.  It was all really good. Emily had lived in Puerto Rico and told us to get Piragua, shaved ice, with Parcha juice (passion fruit).  It was 9:45 when we finished our meal, so we went back to our room and went to bed early for our 7:00 am arrival in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
