We got up at 6:45, had breakfast and the van was there to pick us up.  Mark paid for the van and the tip for the driver.  He is so generous.  The driver wasn't sure which way to go when we left the hotel because so many streets were closed due to the flooding.  It had rained most of the night.  We found out from the doorman at the Cliff House that we could go back out the one way street past the hotel.  Mark called us today to make sure we got home fine.  When they had everyone on the bus to leave yesterday, the bus got stuck in the mud and they thought they were going to miss their flights.  But Jose rocked the bus back and forth and finally got them unstuck.

Our driver took us through water and gravel covered streets to get us to Rt. 25.  They were using snowplows and road graders to remove the mud and gravel from the streets.  It was amazing.  Our driver was very good and got us to the airport shortly after 9:00.  We got our boarding passes, checked our bags, and got through security pretty quickly even though there was a long line.  Once inside we looked for some kind of zinc medicine for my cold but they didn't have anything anywhere.  Derek and I went to the Harley-Davidson store and he brought his friend a tee shirt.  Then we went to a bakery and got chicken salad and walnut sandwiches for the flight.  Larry wasn't hungry.  It may have been that third trip to the buffet last night!  Our flight took off on time and made it to Dulles in less than three hours.  We had a short layover there and didn't have to go to the other terminal for our flight to Columbus.

Our flight was a little late leaving but we got to Columbus in less than an hour arriving shortly after 7:00.  We stopped at Rusty Bucket for some supper and Kroger's for a few essentials.  We got home about 9:30.  It is good to be home!

So glad you made it all safe and sound..except for your cold!! LOL The Warther Family are nice people. If you haven't yet, you really should try to get to the Warther Museum and see the marvelous carvings there..and of course, treat yourself to a great knife. It is time for me to make a trip back so I can get mine sharpened.
