... makes a hard man humble. Says the song. If nothing else, it is enough time to spend in the city. Or at least that is what it felt like arriving in the Khaosan Road area, where all the tourists stopping in Bangkok on their way down to the islands seem to flock to the cheap guesthouses and street stalls.
The Wats (buddhist temples) are interesting as a marked contrast to those in Mongolia, China, Korea, and especially the clean lines and white walls in Japan. Here ,it is all about the gold paint, colored glass, and overloading on statues. More thumbnails ...
