away as soon as we were on the plane. Everything we read about
about rain and scary traffic was true, but I didn't really appreciate
this fact until we were sitting in the back of a taxi, careening
through the insanely crowded streets of Alajuela in the midst of a
torrential downpour. Picture a demolition derby in a hurricane,
all while the calmest taxi driver you've ever met idly chats to you
from
the front seat. Diego delivered us safely to our hostel. It
only took 2 hours to go 20 kilometers. That's right, we're metric
now. We had Thai food for dinner. Go figure.

to mention piratas.... Taxi drivers who take advantage of tourists. Learn the city as early as you can and walk as much as possible. Did all your luggage make it ? Oh yeah, learn about local futbol. Let's see, what else...
Try and find a pastry shop called jacomine...Not sure if that is how it is spelled...stay safe at night, if rest is needed make tina stay up on the look out while you sleep.
