I had some difficulties waking up, or should I say physically getting out of bed. My muscles were swearing at me for yesterday's hike. When I finally got up, I pulled open my curtains and couldn't believe what I saw! Everything was covered in snow and miniscule flurries showered down. While day 1 Durmitor National Park was sunny with clear views of mountains miles away, day 2's Durmitor was a winter wonderland. What's more exciting is that I had reserved whitewater rafting for this morning. It would be a wonderful sight- snow all around me as I fight through these class 3 rapids (okay, may just paddle through). Tara Canyon was Europe's deepest canyon at 1.7km deep, second in the world next to Gramd Canyon. The rafting guide was surprised that I showed up for the appointment; four other people had cancelled. It was a one-on-one rafting experience. We went over some rapids, hiked to where Utica River formed from underground sources, but most of the time was spent on chatting and learning about Montenegran culture and words. It was the first time I ever rafted with my ski gloves, hat, jacket, socks, and 2 wetsuits. Though it didn't snow while we were rafting (due to canyon's lower altitude compared to Zabljak), I had a great time. Dorje was also super-nice and went out of his way to give me a ride to Curevac to view Tara River/Canyon from above. Now satisfied I have done all I could before the weather turned worse, I went back to the flat. Cooked ramen, took a bath, read in my bedroom w three beds and then drifted off.

Are you crazy?
The reason we didn't go rafting was because I thought it would suck if we got wet and cold. I can't believe you rafted after being so cold kayaking in Dubrovnik. Brave girl.
Re: Are you crazy?
i think i was colder kayaking than rafting. the wonders of neoprene and having a few layers of it. New fashion I tell u. Should be a designer on Project Runway.
