Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon
Entry 8 of 59 | show all | print this entry |

The most visited sites in Iceland must be the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon. You know, blue lagoon of Brooke Shields fame. The next day was spent rubbing elbows with other tourists. Couldn't avoid them. Until now, we have been taken more or less the less beaten path. No off/roading necessary.
Iceland remembered: Iceland, territory equal to Ohio, 11% covered by glaciers, greater than 100 fjords, 10000 waterfalls, and 300,000 people. They alone uphold the tradition of patronyms. Enjoy one of the highest stands of living of the world. Everyone regardless of age understands and speaks English. Some even speak better than I. I will remember the immaculate city signs and maps that details each and every farm and family living in each city. This made the country very
easy to navigate. There are only 2 D.Os in the entire country, one in Reykjavik and one in Akureyri. Also were educated by the Phallological Museum. Biggest member is from a whale while the littlest one was from a house hamster. Interesting to know. More thumbnails ...
