It was really cold when we woke up this morning. We had toast with jam (a common item for breakfast in India) and bananas and oranges. Then we packed up and headed for a village. The children in this village loved to have their pictures taken and we have a lot of pictures of the villagers there. They were very friendly people. It got really windy on our trip back and we had a hard time finding a place to make lunch. They always make a fier so they can fry the chipati. We finally settled on a spot where cement miners had dug up huge holes and gulleys where we coud get out of the wind. This time they made chipati and a chickpea soup that was also very good. Oh, Kenny Lee and I both found antelope horns laying ont he ground. Apparently, they shed them each year. I also found a skull of a dead antelope and though the camel owners didn't like it, Kenny Lee took it back with him. it was really cool. I know Dave probably would have really liked it, but Kenny Lee really wantd it so I gave it to him.
After we got back from the safari, Kenny Lee and I visited the Rat temple. Toni didn't want to go and Kenny Lee wasn't going to go until I said I would go. I have lots of pictures of all the rats being fed in the temple (considered sacred in this temple because they are believed to be the reincarnations of the villagers.) We saw a white rat, considered lucky as it is a reincarnation of the god of this temple.
Then we went to the largest camel farm in the East (according to our guide). We saw lots of baby camels. They were so cute. More thumbnails ...
