We arranged to have a car and driver take us around the rest of Rajasthan. Our driver will be Abdul's brother. He actually invited us to his house for the goat dinner celebration. We will be eating the goat they slaughtered for the muslim goat festival. We found out that Abdul is their last name and the drivers name is actually Gani Abdul. We wandered around the town looking for the elephant to ride, but could never find him. We never did find the elephant, but we did find someone who could come to our tent and give us a massage. It was so relaxing. Abdul also arranged for his niece to do henna on our hands after the dinner tomorrow. We are looking forward to that. Oh, also Abdul told me that a geyser (pronounced like the old man (old geyser) not like old faithful) is a hot water tank! I would have never guessed that.
Sounds like you're getting to experience many sights, smells, and interesting people in your travels. I especially liked the tents you stayed in by the lake and also the picture of you riding a camel. That elephant was huge--twice as high as you--glad you didn't fall off. Think you'll be making that bread in the fire when you get home? We're enjoying your diary--keep up the good work! Kirsten... show all
