Well, we are still in Mumbai. We tried to get train tickets to Ahmendabad and found out that the next available train wasn't until tomorrow. So, we decided to take a long-distance private bus directly to Udaipur . It leaves today at noon. Thankfully, we were able to get a room at the Bentley's Guesthouse, owned by the same place that has the hotel. The room is smaller, but fine for sleeping, which is all we were doing there anyway. The bus ride is 16 hours, so I'm not looking forward to that. It's a sleeper bus, but I have no idea what that means. I guess we are soon to find out. We don't have any reservations at Udaipur and we are going to be arriving late at night. So, I hope we find a room fairly quickly. We don't have too much choice though. We need to leave soon so I can't write too much more.

Rebecca was wondering what the weather is like here. It is about 85 and humid 01 Typical Street in Mumbai

. It doesn't really cool down much. It makes for sticky clothes at the end of the day. It sort of reminds me of Tokyo in the summer. Hot, humid and dirty air. You really feel the need for a shower at the end of the day.

Yesterday I found some really great silk salwars (traditional top with slit front and pajama type pants) for about $5.60 each. Most of them are lightly beaded with beautiful colors and fabrics. I was very pleased with this find. My backpack is already full and I can't fit too much more into it. I may buy another bag while I'm here. They are really cheap here. We'll see what I find when we are in Rajastan.

So far, all of us are feeling healthy, no Dehli belly yet. Thank goodness.
