Well, this part of the trip went pretty smoothly. We made our flight to Houston with plenty of time to stop for some lunch and then on to Belize. The plane did not have that many passengers so we had plenty of room. We just had dinner at Macy's Restaurant, which is supposed to be a Creole restaurant. They were definitely speaking a language I did not know, but they also spoke English without any problem. We didn't have time to exchange money, but they take US dollars without any hassle. It's a straight 2 Belizian dollars to one US dollar. Pretty easy to calculate. So far the people have been pretty friendly. Dave did have one guy try to convince him to give him some money for a loaf of bread at the local store. I tell you, they use the same story no matter what country you're in. In India, it was a bottle of milk for my baby sister. So, I guess it was a little different. No pictures yet. It got too dark by the time we were settled into our room. It's warm and humid. Not too hot though. A little more humid than I'm used to, but not as hot as our last day in Tucson. When we were flying over the country, we could see lots of jungle below us and lots of wet land. I asked the taxi driver if it rained and he said it's been raining a lot. It hasn't rained so far, but things do look like it had recently rained. Lots of puddles.
