Guadalupe River
We started off Saturday with a leisurely morning, sipping tea on the porch and eating the yummy pasteries left for us in the kitchen. Today we diecided to visit another nearby state park- Guadalupe River State Park. It actually wasn't too crowded when we got there, and we spent the later part of the morning walking along the river and taking pictures. The river is a beautiful green color and it is lined with huge cypress trees. We got a picnic lunch, and then the park really started to get crowded. Rick and I decided to go for a hike, which was

great because all of the people were swimming in the river so there was no one on the trails. We hiked a good 5 miles or so in the hills surrounding the river, away from the crowds. After a day of hiking, we went back to the cabin for a relaxing afternoon, dinner and beers at the Dodging Duck brewery, and another quiet night at the cabin.
