Hello all. Well this is the month of extreme consumerism, I hope it isnīt getting you down. I feel fairly removed from all that here. Since my last entry, I have continued my work with CIPO and have finally finished the video on the political prisoners. I sent it off to FSTV and it should run in next monthīs newsreal. There are more videos to make and more work to do. There was a fair amount of celebration and commotion here, for the anniversary of CIPO, Independence Day, and the arrival of a "new" governor here in Oaxaca. Luckily my friend Andrew, who was visiting from California, and I were able to get away to the coast and visit a wonderful national park, empty beaches, wildlife galore and mystic mangroves growing in the lagoon. We stayed at the cabaņas "El Piojo," where Andres, Paula and their family took very good care of us, fed us and let us use their hammocks with a direct view of the beach that lay 50 feet away. They even set us up with a fugata, or bonfire one night, and we watched the moon come up over the horizon. Gorgeous. I have included some pictures, hope you enjoy them. In these past two weeks I have confirmed that we all see things the way we want to see them, and that an extremely bad and stressful day can turn into a wonderful day, depending on the mental framework involved. I wish you all a wonderful day!!
