This city has captured me!!! I will be staying on, as I have met some people fighting for justice here in Oaxaca. Despite all the violence, injustice and repression they have faced, they are well organized and have a communications program. They have a radio station, website, videocams and 2 mac computers. We are setting up a video editing workshop that youth from the surrounding pueblos can attend. Even though this is something very little that I can do to help them, I am very excited about it. If anyone would like to check them out, their website is www.nodo50.org/cipo. Info in english: http://www.nodo50.org/cipo/documentos/presosinglesinformation.htm The name stands for Consejo Indigena Popular de Oaxaca "Ricardo Flores Magon." I will be staying at their offices until we get it all figured out. Check out their page and help them if you can!
More pictures from Monte Alban, a ruined Zapotec city on the top of the mountain. The view alone is astounding. I hope you all are well!
